Badges on the Uniform

There are several handy pictures of where to sew the badges on the uniforms held on the UK Scout website.

Bishops Waltham Scout Group have our own Group badge which is based on the old Bishops Waltham District badge from before the Scout District was re-organised. The badge will be provided to members when they are invested and should be sewn onto the necker.

Moving badges between uniforms

In general badges should not be moved when a member moves from Beavers to Cubs, or Cubs to Scouts. However there are some badges which can be moved:

  • Any of the staged activity badges. Only the highest number of each of these badges should be moved. The staged activity badges are:

  • The Chief Scout Award appropriate to the section:

    • Silver Chief Scout AwardThe Silver Chief Scout Award if moving from Cubs to Scouts
  • The Joining-in badge 
    • Joining in badge 3Take the one with the highest number (so you only need to move one badge).

Buying the Uniform

You can buy the uniform (Beaver, Cub or Scout) from several alternative places.

Local Scout shops:

  • Eastleigh Scout Shop
    Eastleigh Scout Shop is in Albrook and is open Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. They also stock the 1st Bishops Waltham scarf.

  • Fareham Scout Shop
    Fareham Scout Shop is open on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
