District Cub Football Competition 2009

We had a great 6-a-side football competition in March which saw teams from all the Cub Packs in the Meon Valley District playing an entertaining tournament. The overall winner of the tournament (having won all their games) was Shedfield Cub Scouts - congratulations and all the best for the County final.

Second place was closely fought between Bishops Waltham Diamond and Wolf packs and the final result was decided on goals scored. Going into the last match Wolf needed to win to level the points, and also to score three or more goals to surpass Diamond's number of goals scored. After the first half Wolf was 1-0 up and needed to get two more goals in the second half which they managed to achieve with a couple of minutes spare.

So second place went to Wolf Pack, and third to Diamond Pack. Congratulations and well done to all those cubs who took part in the tournament.
